This is a movement not a moment!

Anti Gender Based Violence protest.

I arrived to the protest in full white as i was a safety marshal, first aider and photographer.

This was definitely a phenomenal experience for me as I stood up for something I believe strongly about as well as learnt even more as we commenced with the protest. Unfortunately with it being Lockdown and there being Covid-19 regulations, our gathering was illegal and the police told us all to disperse and as our duty as safety marshal we had to spread the word that the protest was cancelled and they needed to disperse people didn't listen and continued with the protest and the police acted with force calling in back up, allegedly shooting rubber bullets, aggressively arresting peaceful protesters and throwing tear gas.

This is a movement not a moment.
